One of the "hidden gems" of this part of Connecticut, Rockwell Park is a favorite location to see a wide variety of scenery in a reasonable walk. Pretty pond, stone tower, boardwalk through the pond, and amphitheater. An extensive playground, splash pad, and skatepark make this a well rounded park for children and adults of all ages.
I am truly in awe of the lifeguards here. I go to this place often, and always see attentive workers stationed by the pools. One specific time, I was playing in the pool by myself and accidentally made it seem as if I was drowning (I get carried away when I’m in the pool!) and one of the lifeguards, Hanna I believe to be her name, called out to me and said “Miss, are you okay?” It was very good to hear her concern, and I appreciated her concern for me. Highly recommended this place, and Hanna the lifeguard!
This park is beautiful, my son and my dogs love everything about it except that there were no available bathrooms. We mainly go to hike and run the dogs, I want to note I am grateful to whomever left water bowls for the dogs at the dog park 💓. Apparently, from what other's at the kids park said, the main bathrooms are only open when sports are going on and with Covid that means they are closed. Port-a-pottys have been there before too I guess but not any of the times we have been there which makes it hard to stay for longer than 30ish mins with my son.
Perfect spot for walks.
A great community public park... great for all age kids... you gonna love bring yours here and play with them... pool, water park, and more.
Clean, very well taken care of! This is a beautiful park with plenty to do!❤️
I stopped in here for a walk while visiting Bristol and enjoy the nice weather. The park was well spaced out, pretty, and taking precautions for Covid. There was plenty of parking and overall a nice area.
Great park especially during the spring and summer. It’s well maintained and good for walks. Great for the whole family.
